Mapping Skills

This term our students are exploring the world through the integration of mapping of skills. Starting with Australia we are discovering the major towns and points of interest in each state. Presentations of these maps include neat printing, shading, borders and details using a key.

 

“What a Disaster!”

The world is full of natural occurrences, not all of them happy. This term we are investigating natural disasters and their impact upon people and their environment. Exploring such disasters will help the children understand the impact that the drought is having on themselves and their local surroundings. This knowledge may perhaps be useful in the future and may allow them to develop systems and educated views in which to deal with future issues coming their way.

 

Science Fair

 We are encouraging children to have an investigative attitude in all aspects of their life and this is highlighted with the Science Fair this term. All children are encouraged to participate either individually, in small or family groups. All students will hopefully experience the joys of a challenge and be encouraged to explore their natural world.
